CONVERSE COUNTY COMMISSION

DAREK JOPPRU

Converse County needs a Constitutional conservative who will not be a spendthrift leader but a representative for its citizens!

The role of government at all levels is to ensure and protect the God-given rights of the individual. Our founders never intended for government to tax one in order to give recreation to another!

The Converse County Commission has enjoyed a festival of spending thanks to Republican so-called conservatives for too long.

ABOUT ME

I moved to Converse County from the “People’s Republic of Minnesota” in 1991. My wife, three children and I moved back briefly in 2008, but gladly returned after only eight months.

I have worked in the oilfield, coal and road construction industries since 1991. Within those industries I have worked as an equipment operator, mechanic, grade checker, welder and warehouse manager. My employment has been with both local and out of county contractors. I am currently employed as a territory sales manager for an industrial design and supply company.

There are those who have said a person in the middle of their working career will not be able to serve the public effectively on the county commission. In my view, such a prejudicial view locks out a whole demographic of good folks and is a bit arrogant. A real world, common sense, private sector view will be key in cost analysis when it comes to ensuring fiscal responsibility.

It is the people’s money, after all.
